To be able to vote, you must be registered on the electoral roll. Registration is automatic for young people aged 18 (under certain conditions), as well as for French people obtaining nationality from 2019. Apart from these situations, it is necessary to request to be registered on the lists elections to be able to vote.

All of the following conditions must be met:

  • Be at least 18 years old the day before election day (or the day before the 2nd round of the election)
  • Being French
  • Enjoy their civil and political rights

You can register on the electoral lists of the town hall of Saint-Victor-en-Marche if:

  • you have your home there,
  • you have been subject to local taxes (housing tax, business property tax, property tax on built or non-built properties) for at least 2 years,
  • you have resided there effectively and continuously for at least 6 months,
  • you are subject to compulsory residence as a public official,
  • you have been the manager or the majority or sole partner for at least 2 years of a company registered on the municipal contributions roll for at least 2 years.

Deadlines:

It is possible to register all year round. The electoral lists are however stopped on the 6th Friday preceding a poll. Only a few specific situations benefit from the postponement of this period: transfer, young adults, acquisition of nationality.
